Bus Stopper Bus Number signalling manually re-settable plate for the blind

cults3d

I was presented with a challenge by a Blind individual. They dislike having to ask every bus that passes for the bus's number, and instead prefer using a number plate. So they go out with the plates of numbers they'll need. However, sometimes they unexpectedly require a number outside their usual range, and they have to return to asking again. This is an open-source set of 3D printable parts designed to enable individuals to create a bus line number signalling system that can be hand-set and reset at will for any number up to 199. If you have three complete seven-segment sets, you can display numbers from 1 to 999. This system uses the same seven-segment number display found in digital clocks, but it's set by hand so the Blind can change the number at any time due to unexpected new travel plans. You can print the three back plates and central element separately or create a single seven-segment complete black plate based on your 3D printer's capabilities. The system should be glued and riveted or screwed in place, with moving parts using additional 3D printed color plates or reflective adhesive tape.
