My 3-year-old kid is absolutely obsessed with playing bus and pushing the stop button, so I decided to create this custom stop button for her room. I designed it to fit a standard 25mm clothes rack/pipe, which turned out to be an excellent choice since they come with various mounting fixtures that make them easy to install on the wall. Initially, I printed the button in a standing position rather than lying down, which would have been much simpler. This decision led to a couple of failed prints before I got it right and produced a good raft. My reason for printing it upright was to minimize layer visibility - if I had printed it flat, the layers would have been quite noticeable due to the low slope of the design. My original plan was to turn this button into a fully functional one with a tiny buzzer, but after reconsidering, I thought that would be too distracting. However, incorporating a buzzer is still relatively straightforward and can be done easily if desired.
