I picked up one of the BURST sonic toothbrushes as a budget-friendly sonicare alternative and I'm happy with it so far. I noticed that the replacement heads didn't come with a protective cover like the sonicare ones do. Instead of buying sonicare heads for $15 and just removing their plastic covers, I decided to design and print my own. It fits well and leaves room for drying. I must say this - 3D printing can create many nooks and crannies where bacteria can thrive. I highly recommend purchasing ANTI Bacterial/Microbial PLA filament so you'll have ZERO worries. I bought a brand called PUREMENT BNK, which is Anti Microbial and works well for uses like this. The aluminum powder they add to the filament that helps kill bacteria makes it brittle, similar to bronzefill. However, it prints well. You can find purement on Amazon for ~$25 per 0.6kg. Another brand is XYZ Filament (they make davinci printers and some other ones; big company with good filament). I just chose the Amazon purchase first because of free shipping and faster delivery.
