The Arliegh Burke Class destroyers are remarkably accurate scale models with dimensions varying by only 1-5%. Built individually, slight variations in equipment locations occur among specific vessels. Models exhibit numerous animateable features, such as the 5" gun, missile hatches, radar antennae, propellers, and rudders; flight deck nets are also adjustable for flight operations. The models are extensively detailed and available in various formats. Known as the most heavily armed destroyers in the US, these vessels surpass others worldwide. They replaced Spruance Class D's and adopted technology from Ticonderoga class "Aegis" Cruisers, featuring angled superstructure sides for reduced radar signature at sea and a tripod-angled mast for the same purpose. Burkes are equipped with an array of tomahawk cruise missiles, a radar-guided 5" deck gun, one or two phalanx guns, and radar guidance systems. They also house Seahawk Anti-sub warfare helicopters, carrying torpedoes, and possess six torpedo launch tubes per ship.
