Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan, in the Khaibullinsky district, saw excavations take place back in 2007. The necropolis known as Perevolochan-1 yielded some fascinating discoveries. Among them was Kurgan number 12, where archaeologists unearthed Burial number 1. This remarkable find dates all the way back to the Iron Age, a time spanning from the IV century BC. Early Sarmatian culture is what this incredible piece of history represents.
