Marilyn Robertson's Story Began in England Marilyn Robertson was born at a military hospital in Tidworth, Wiltshire. Her mother came from Malta, while her English father served in the British Army. Marilyn spent her early years moving between Germany and the UK with her family. After completing school in Staffordshire, she pursued a degree to become an art teacher. Marilyn's first job was teaching art at a school in Leamington Spa, which she followed up by moving to Nottingham to teach at a neighboring school in Derbyshire. Turning to Entrepreneurship Marilyn started painting and designing greeting cards when her daughter Katie was born. She initially sold them at craft fairs and eventually moved on to selling directly to trade partners through her small business, ‘Paper Kite’.
