Burgle Bros Gameboard Tower (optimized for printing)

Burgle Bros Gameboard Tower (optimized for printing)

thingiverse

This thing is an accessory for the three-board game Burgle Bros. It converts the game into a physical 3-floor building, making it more immersive and engaging. The floors are precision-cut from standard foamcore board, which fits perfectly into slots in the towers, held securely by spring tabs. I created this tower assembly as a gift for my brother-in-law, who's an avid fan of the game. The original design of this model is notoriously difficult to print due to its complexity and length, requiring extensive hours of printing time. However, I remixed the parts to create a similar tower gameboard with minimal supports, reducing the total print time to approximately 34 hours. The model still features spring tabs to securely hold 'floors' of 5mm foamcore board in place. To bring this accessory to life, you'll need to print the following components: 4 - Level1pillar 4 - Level2pillar 8 - BracketA 8 - BracketB 2 - Top_Gargoyle 1 - Top_Protonpack 1 - Top_stairs 1 - Helipad 24 - peg To achieve optimal results, use a 0.6mm nozzle, set the layer height to 0.3mm, and opt for 2 walls with 10% infill. Additionally, configure your printer to use a 4mm support grid, limiting supports only under spring tabs with a threshold of 5 degrees. By following these settings, you'll be able to batch everything into three separate prints, requiring approximately 34 hours of print time.
