Burger Stacker
thingiverse
The "Stacker" is an exciting, functional and vibrant storage solution! Use its design as a storage solution for your own needs or print as a fun, unique and novel gift. Make it as vibrant as you like... be creative. Files provided include the (base) foundation and top as well as a wide range of layers. There are two different top files. One has dots to represent seeds, the other is plain. Other than that they are the same. Each layer has a different edge pattern to make them easier to grip and rotate plus, I addition to color changes, set them apart from other layers. The layers can be custom configured to suit your storage needs... and can be added to as/when you need. Just print another layer or two and make your Stacker and even taller stack! Layer options include different diameters and shapes with varying tray depths as well as hollow (no base) layers. Details as follows: Layer heights: Three sizes stated in mm (70mm / 75mm / 80mm) Layer internal storage tray depths: Three depths provided S / M / L (6mm / 9.5mm / 13mm) Layer Floors: Two different types... one has a floor in the layer (Type F) so the above depths apply. The other is simply a hollow tube layer (Type H) that acts as a spacer to increase the height and storage capacity of the layer/s below. These layers have no floor. So, as an example, layer 75-M-F.stl is 75mm in diameter, the storage height is 9mm and it has a floor so is a stacker layer in its own right. However, layer 75-M-H is still 75mm in diameter, has the same overall height as the 'F' type but is hollow so has no floor in the layer. That allows the storage height of the below layer/s to be taller. To assemble simply push one layer into another layer then turn clockwise to lock in / turn counter clockwise to unlock then pull apart (Same a s a usual right hand thread). Please refer to the print settings / instructions and images for additional information... and post images of your Stackers in use for others to see! Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator+ Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: Standard / 0.20mm Infill: PLA / 2 Shells / 10% infill or more Notes: Easy prints.... Raft recommended for ease of removal from the build plate but not essential. No supports. Post-Printing Just assemble your Stacker! Prints from an accurate / well set up machine should slot together and rotate to lock and unlock layers with relative ease. However, if your layers are tight so hard to assemble and tight to turn, a light spray of a silicone lubricant should be all it takes to make the parts work snuggly together. All the parts posted have been test printed on 4 different MakerBot models. All parts were interchangeable and free to insert and turn without further post processing. The same should apply to most machines. As a recommendation, print two layers and check they fit together okay before printing more. If for some reason they are too tight, won't fit together and turn to lock/unlock, scaling the parts up uniformly by 5-10% should resolve the clearance issues.
