Humanoid Autonomous Armored Knights (HAAs), officially known as Knightmares, are a type of mecha found in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, a popular Sunrise anime series. These robotic warriors were developed by the Holy Britannian Empire during their invasion of Japan. With main battle tanks nearly obsolete, HAAs have become the primary armored vehicle for the Empire's military forces. The term "Knightmare Frame" is derived from words knight, horse, and nightmare.
