Buoy for RC Sailing (straight)
thingiverse
I designed this buoy specifically for RC sailing, ideal for classes like the RG65 and Micro Magic. To avoid a support structure, I divided it into two distinct parts. The top section should be printed with a fill setting of 3-5% and a wall thickness of approximately .8mm to create a hollow design. In contrast, the bottom part can be printed with a fill setting of 40%. The hole in the bottom sections requires led bullets secured with some wood glue for proper sealing. To assemble both parts, use 15-minute epoxy. Once glued together, either polyester or spray paint should be applied to ensure a watertight seal.
