Buoy for RC Sailing (round)
thingiverse
Designed this buoy specifically for RC sailing, perfect for classes like the RG65 and Micro Magic. Breaking it down into two parts allowed us to eliminate the need for support structures altogether. The top section requires printing with a fill setting of 3-5% and a wall thickness of approximately .8mm, which results in a hollow part. In contrast, the bottom section can be printed with a fill setting of 40%. To seal the hole in the bottom parts, use led bullets secured with some wood glue. Then, apply either polyester or spray paint to ensure a watertight bond between the two sections after gluing them together using 15-minute epoxy.
