Bunny top cover LED lens

This is a custom-designed light pipe / lens for the top cover(s) of the Bunny Extruder, carefully crafted to diffuse and direct the light from the LED Mod and add a professional finish to the cover. As an electronics enthusiast, not a professional optics expert, I relied on my own ingenuity rather than complex ray tracing software to get the job done. This small, intricate part requires delicate handling and precise print settings to produce a flawless result. To achieve optimal clarity, I used 3DSolutech clear PETG filament with a .25 E3d brass nozzle, .10 layer heights, 10 perimeters (solid), full supports with a .12 Z spacing, and solid interface layers. I ran the printer at regular settings for Generic PETG but adjusted the speed to 75% and increased the extrusion multiplier to 1.15 to enhance clarity. The resulting fit was remarkably close, so I recommend careful top cover bridging or cleanup, as well as precise soldering, to ensure a seamless integration. For an added touch of professionalism, you can optionally smooth out layer lines with a gentle sanding process and coat the finished product with clear acrylic paint or XTC 3D. To prevent light bleed from under the cover, consider painting non-visible areas with opaque paint. I employed a 600 grit diamond file for cleanup, a toothpick for painting, and small bulldog tweezers for handling and drying. To facilitate a smooth assembly process, I've included all necessary resistors and LEDs in the BS BOM. Feel free to modify this design or reach out to me if you require any adjustments – I'm more than happy to help!
