Bunny shaped enclosure for uIEC
thingiverse
This plastic enclosure is specifically designed for RETRO Innovation's uIEC CBM floppy disk drive emulator card, fitting both the uIEC and its deluxe daughtercard in their L-shaped configuration for Commodore 64 use. It features four holes, one each for the dataset connector, IEC cables, SD card, and uIEC's control buttons. A tail support is included to prevent upward force on the dataset connector due to the layout of the uIEC card. The enclosure is designed for C64-i models but may require modifications for C64-ii. A recent update includes model files for the buttons and their housing, allowing easier access to the 4 control functions (fwd, back, swap, reset) on the circuit. Moreover, the SVG files have been updated for easier editing. For optimal printing, use a 0.2mm layer height. Slic3r can be used for slicing but may result in artifacts. The top and bottom parts require gluing after electronics insertion, while removal of electronics necessitates breaking the enclosure, indicating room for improvement. Lastly, to access the four buttons on the circuit, print the button cage and 4 buttons, which fit tightly into the hole on the back of the rabbit enclosure.
