Thingiverse is facing issues, causing "Download All Files" to frequently retrieve outdated versions of files. The "Short Ears" edition of BNB (Bunny and Bear) Retrograde extruder offers a superior balance by positioning the motor at the back and down, ultimately leading to improved performance. This design allows for better motor placement, reducing potential issues and enhancing overall printing quality. Key Features: * Motor is placed at the back and down for enhanced stability * Superior balance achieved through strategic motor placement * Improved print quality due to optimized motor positioning Recommended Motor: A 1.8-degree stepper motor with a bipolar configuration and high torque rating is recommended for this design. The STEPPERONLINE Nema 17 Bipolar Stepper Motor (0.7A, 13Ncm) has proven to work well in testing. Required Settings: * Microstepping: M350 E16 * E-steps: M92 E490 * Verify settings with power off/on and M503 Inspiration: The pulley gearing was originally inspired by the Skelestruder design, while the reversible motor x-end was inspired by Cristian2281's work. Video Demonstration: A video showcasing the BNB Short Ears Extruder in operation can be found at https://youtu.be/5elxXwZDiMQ. Issues and Changes: * Check the motor x-end top clamp bolt for potential contact with the motor. File off excess material or switch to a button cap bolt if necessary. * Added features include: + NEMA 17 Direct Motor Plate for testing motors without gearing + Axis rod push out feature to x-end + BNB Universal x-carriage for closer alignment to x-rods and Prusa compatibility + Short Ears X-end Tensioner and Idler + Updated BNB Universal x-carriage for future-proofing + Extruder body and hot end cover with separate printing for high-temperature material + Corrected error in join alignment of BNB Short Ears X-End Tensioner + Changed to Mosquito compatible extruder body, hot end cover with E3DV6 plenum panes
