Bunk Beds With Ladder
thingiverse
I designed the original bunk beds in 123D Design, and creating curved headboards was a breeze thanks to their intuitive sketching tools. I then uploaded the file to Tinkercad, where I placed a duplicate of the bunk bed on top of the first one, carefully positioning the tiny cylinders at the base of the legs into the holes on top of the posts of the bottom bed. Next, I used the adjust tool to align them perfectly. After that, I created the ladder in Tinkercad and positioned it at a comfortable angle to the upper bed. To prepare for using the upper bed as a hole tool to cut out a section of the ladder, I duplicated both beds while they were aligned, moved them aside, and locked them onto the workplane. To remove a chunk from the upper part of the ladder that matched the bunk's frame, I deleted the lower bunk bed, turned the upper bunk into a hole tool, grouped it with the ladder, and removed the perfect matching slice. This 3D model was created using Tinkercad. Edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/l3Vl2Eh5h4Q
