Bunk beds are space-saving solutions comprised of two or more beds stacked vertically on one frame; typically found in ships, military quarters, hostels, dormitories, summer camps, and prisons. Supported by four poles, a ladder grants access to the upper bed which is enclosed by a railing for safety. Certain models feature lower-bunk privacy curtains, but due to ladder usage and height risks, bunk beds are not recommended for children under six years old.
