Bungee lock
thingiverse
This is a straightforward locking mechanism for securing a bungee cord tie down. It's tailored specifically for bungee cords with diameters ranging from approximately 3.75mm to 4.25mm. The concept itself is quite uncomplicated: when the cord is in the larger holes, move the lock towards the bite of the bungee where you're tying it down. For optimal results, collapse on your target while the lock is at an angle to keep the cord within the larger holes. Once tight, compress the cord towards the center of the lock. A second iteration with a closed hole has been added for those who prefer this design. In this version, the bungee cord passes through these holes. If you have a bungee with a ball on the end and don't want to cut it off, the open hole version can be used instead. Simply squeeze the bungee cord in from the side.
