Buncheong pottery was created from the late 14th century to the early 17th century. It was the primary pottery used by Korean ancestors, but its numbers declined due to the Japanese invasion of Korea. It decreased significantly during the invasion when potters were kidnapped and important sites for making Buncheong pottery were destroyed.
