Bumpy Sphere
thingiverse
A mathematical shape was produced using a java app found here. The formula used is ? = 1+0.2sin(8?)sin(4?), where values range from 0 to 2 for the first variable and from 0 to 2 for the second. To create a spherical object, navigate to View Settings, select Set Function Type, choose your preferred function, and set it to Spherical. The application allows exporting the generated object as an STL file via File menu. When printed on Makerbot Replicator 2, Raft and Supports were necessary.
