Bumper style Z3 Compact Case
thingiverse
This case is crafted with precision in OpenSCAD. Everything about it is completely customizable thanks to its highly parametric design and meticulous commenting. Anyone can easily modify it or use it as a starting point to create cases for other smartphones with similar shapes. You can access the source code on Github, where you'll also find detailed instructions and valuable information. Be aware that I regularly update both the Github repository and this STL file. If the STL file becomes outdated, it's better to work directly from the .scad file and export your own STL file. I encourage you to experiment with changes and submit pull requests! Instructions When printing, you'll get the best results using a strong and semi-flexible or flexible filament. I've had great success with Taulman Bridge Nylon and some generic TPE that likely matches SemiFlex in properties. I print this design with 0.1mm layer height, although 0.2mm should work just fine too. For optimal printing quality, use supports for the bridges – if not, they may end up rather messy. I originally designed this case to fit a 0.4mm nozzle, but the type of filament you choose may necessitate adjusting the wall size to either 0.8mm or 1.2mm. If your nozzle is different or you're unsure about settings, consider accessing the openscad file from Github, customizing it for your nozzle, printing a new STL file based on the recommended wall sizes and then printing that one. You'll find plenty of valuable tips and information by checking out the Github repository!
