Bump Vase 1

Bump Vase 1

I started out with hexagonal bumps but they didn't quite fit the bill so I switched to circles - modified hemispheres, actually. The vase's basic shape is inspired by early Native American pottery which has a similar form. That said, those pieces had no bumps at all and instead featured intricate designs painted on them.\nTo give you an idea of just how many bumps are involved, they're arranged in 27 columns with each column containing 33 bumps, making for a total of 891 bumps. This section took around 15 hours to print at a rate of 80 mm/sec using a layer height of 0.200 mm.
