Bumblebee Spool Storage System (remix)
thingiverse
This is a custom version of Skalla_J's storage system for spools, redesigned with customer input and STL parts as the starting point. I aimed to create a sturdy handle and a tall unit that could hold a significant amount of weight, which led me to revisit the design from scratch. Using ANYSYS Spaceclaim Engineer, I developed a system that allows users to stack multiple spools by simply adding threaded rods of varying lengths and sufficient connector parts. The result is the Bumblebee spool storage system, named after the colors I chose for its unique aesthetic. I selected Inland filament spools from Microcenter for this project. Key specifications include a center hole ID of 2.145 inches (slightly over 54 mm) and an outer diameter of 7 3/4 inches (198 mm).
