Bully Stick Dog Chew Holder
thingiverse
This is a collection of holders designed specifically to keep long chew sticks out of reach from my dogs. I've encountered numerous instances where my dogs have swallowed the last few inches of a bully stick before we could intervene, resulting in a distressing experience for both them and us. The commercially available options often fall short, so I took matters into my own hands and created these holders, which have proven to be highly effective. The primary drawback lies in requiring a 5/16" or 8mm hole to be drilled about half an inch from one end of the chew for the pin to secure it. However, considering that drilling a bag of 25 bully sticks typically takes around five minutes, I believe this is a worthwhile trade-off compared to potential vet bills or the risk of injuring my dog. The holder with wings is specifically designed for larger dogs. In our case, we prefer using the small round one for our 30-pound dogs, as they tend to leave it alone and focus on the bully stick. The wide-mouth holder is ideal for flat, strip-style chews.
