Bullseye Duct Positioning Jig

Bullseye Duct Positioning Jig

This is a positioning jig I created to help me align the Bullseye Duct with the Bullseye base. The installation instructions for the Bullseye suggest using a 2mm wrench as a jig, which works great for standard hot-ends but falls short for my micro-Swiss hot-end. Studying their illustration of duct positioning, I examined models in Fusion 360 and determined that it was designed with 3.6mm between the bottom of the duct tips and the bottom openings. I built this jig to make alignment easier by positioning the nozzle versus the duct correctly. Here's how you use it: 1. Loosely attach the duct to the base. 2. Lower the nozzle down into the opening in the center until the silicon sock or heat block insulation touches the middle riser. 3. Push the duct tips down onto the outer risers and tighten the duct. 4. You're all set with your Bullseye! I added some quality of life features to this jig. First, I included ballast chambers on the left and right that can hold up to 4 one-inch washers each (I used three on each side). When you're done aligning, just flip the jig over and shake out the washers. Second, there are four slots under the jig designed for 6x2mm magnets. Just apply a drop of superglue and press-fit them into place. This makes it easy to attach the jig to your workbench or whatever with magnetic force.
