Bullitt Bike Kickstand feet
thingiverse
I designed new kick stand caps for my bike after the originals wore out. The local bike shop couldn't get replacement parts, so I decided to 3D print some myself. To make it easier to rock up onto the kick stand, I added a bevel to the design. The hole was a bit too large for the leg since I used the old kickstand as a temporary metal foot on the ground. This meant I needed a little extra room to get the new caps in place. A dab of hot glue solves this problem easily. I also designed a mirror image version for the left and right sides, so they match perfectly. When 3D printing these caps, it's best to print them upright or on their side rather than laying them flat. This reduces the risk of shearing off the bottom layers, which happened in an earlier version that I printed horizontally. In this case, I had to print at an angle and add supports to hold everything together. I've been using these new kick stand caps for a while now, and they're working great.
