Bullet Penny Weight

Bullet Penny Weight

thingiverse

This is a spinner penny weight designed to resemble a hollow-point bullet. It holds 4 pennies and requires pausing the print just before capping the pennies with a high percentage infill allowing for some additional weight at the cost of filament. The inspiration came from the Six Shooter spinner by CMH, which can be seen in the thumbnails on thingiverse.com. The file for this penny weight is at about 101% outer diameter of a 608z bearing, making it a good fit for oversized spinners like the one I intended to use. Printing at 100% will make for a loose fit in a standard 608z hole. A tip for printing penny weights: putting tape on the surface of the top penny is more tolerant than not using any adhesive, and letting the pennies sit on the print bed to warm up before inserting makes the process smoother.
