Designed after the Hornady bullet comparator set, this custom tool allows for precise measurements from base to ogive. I compared my version to a friend's Hornady comparator set and noticed varying inner diameters by gauge. To ensure reproducible results, these tools require some fitting and truing of their flat surfaces. Heated caliper fingers help achieve close contact with the 2" mark on the scale.
