Print the mount in whatever material and color you prefer. I chose Hatchbox Black PLA at 50% infill and 3 perimeters/shells, along with 3 top/bottom layers. Simplify3D was used to slice the model at a .15mm layer thickness, and printing occurred with support. The best results will be achieved when the motor face is positioned part down against the bed. Printing took approximately 2 hours on a Prusa i3 moving at 40mm/sec. To connect the motor to the original UM2 board, I severed the original extruder motor wires about 75mm from the board connector. An additional connector was installed in case the original motor needed to be reattached. Connect the wires as follows: UM2 ----------------------------------- Bulldog XL Black ---------------------------------- Brown Green --------------------------------- Red Red ------------------------------------ Yellow Blue ------------------------------------- Blue You will need to adjust the steps/mm for the extruder to 495. This can be done by downloading the latest version of Tinkergnome firmware from here: https://github.com/TinkerGnome/Ultimaker2Marlin/releases. Open up Cura and navigate to Machine->Install Custom Firmware, then select the TinkerGnome firmware .HEX file that was downloaded. Next, on the UM2, go to Advanced->Preferences->Motion Settings->Axis Steps/mm and change the value for E to 495. --EDIT: I forgot to include the support bracket for the planetary. To rectify this, take the extruder apart, remove the black spacer, and replace it with the provided one. This will ensure proper support on the back end of the motor assembly.
