Bulldog XL Bowden Filament Guide
thingiverse
I was having trouble with 1.75mm filament jams. I found another filament guide on this site that required a machined brass or metal component, but it was not feasible for me. Instead, I drew my own guide in Blender and successfully resolved all my problems within an hour. The large hole fits snugly around the roller bearing in the Bulldog XL printer. The small holes are strategically positioned to guide the filament smoothly. To clean out the small guide hole for 1.75mm filament, I used a 3/32" drill bit and turned it by hand to cut cleanly through the plastic, achieving perfect results. For 3mm filament, widening the hole with a 1/8" drill bit should work well, but may require some tuning with a jeweler's file for optimal performance. Once set up correctly, this fix works great, eliminating all my jam issues and also resolving retraction and stringing problems without any further jams. This easy, quick, and affordable solution completely resolved my filament jamming issues.
