I'm installing a custom extruder assembly in my 3030 extrusion profiles printer to fit snugly within the printer volume, rather than protruding outside. To make room for the 2.85 mm filament, I've opted for an MK8 extruder wheel, eliminating the need to adjust the BullDog Housing's position. This MK8 extruder has been my go-to choice for several months now, and it's currently integrated into my HyperCube Evolution printer (300x300x350mm). This is actually my second setup, allowing me to experiment with single-hot-end dual color printing. My next project involves designing or 3D printing a Y-splitter – I'm leaning towards creating one using POM, which will require some engineering and testing to get it just right.
