Bulkhead (or Mask) stands tall as a massive fragment of a face or mask crafted by Rick Kirby. The colossal scale artwork was completed and installed at Canterbury's Marlowe Theatre from 2003 until the theatre's demolition in 2009. It made its debut in the city of Canterbury as part of the Blok sculpture festival, drawing crowds with its grandeur. So popular did it become that the city council decided to purchase it, relocating it to the old theatre's forecourt. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. Through Scan The World, we are building a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for everyone to access freely. Scan The World is an open-source community effort. If you have interesting items nearby that you'd like to share, simply email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how you can contribute.
