Bulbasaur Pokemon Base
thingiverse
I designed a lit base for my bulbasaur model. To ensure proper alignment, the model needs to be scaled up by 150% from its original STL file size. If this isn't done, the feet won't match with the LEDs in the base. I'll need four nut brackets printed out. I used M3 screws that are eight millimeters long and nuts for assembly. The nuts should be glued into place within their recessed holders, then the nut bracket itself glued onto the 'Bulby Base Top'. Channels on the bracket allow it to fit perfectly without any guesswork involved. For lighting, I'm using two five-millimeter LEDs and one ten-millimeter LED with 150-ohm resistors powered by a three-volt AA battery pack. The LEDs easily slide into built-in holders. I've uploaded a base for squirtle as well, but its power switch window is positioned on the left side instead of the right like bulbasaur's was. Since the base plates are interchangeable, you can use whichever one fits your specific battery pack. To keep things stable, I added clear grip feet to the bottom so it won't slide around or come loose due to screws and a switch.
