Bukito Idler Pulley Bracket / Synchromesh (fits OpenBuild V Slot Rails)
thingiverse
This set of brackets serves as a substitute for the Bukito stock Idler pulley brackets on the X and Y axis, offering two distinct styles: one with a shield and another without. These can also be utilized in various general-purpose projects in conjunction with OpenBuild V-Slot rail sets and Synchromesh cables. My original laser-cut acrylic stock brackets succumbed to excessive t-nut torquing at the point of failure, prompting me to develop replacement parts that address these issues. Included is a photo documenting the fractured stock bracket, resulting from repeated use during extensive travel. I augmented these new brackets to surpass conventional expectations, adding thickness and contact surface area, as well as incorporating an impact shield. These specifically designed replacements ensure a perfect fit within OpenBuild V-Slot rail systems with no discernible lateral movement. Labels are assigned: A:MAIN and B:MIRROR. The former is the primary piece, while B:MIRROR represents its mirror opposite. This configuration grants flexibility when combining projects by enabling them to be paired in a manner where the identical elements reside across each rail from one another, creating strength exceeding that of an individual bracket. Supplementing files are included for compatibility with Sketchup version 8.
