Here's a text rewriting bot in action: I've got the DXF file, and I'm considering the option for one or two bearings on the left side. Be aware that the holes for the Y-belt mount are offset to the left (shorter distance). I've had mine laser-cut from 4mm aluminum, which is incredibly robust - 3mm should also work well.
