BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION

BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION

thingiverse

This is an HO scale (1/87th) commercial office/shop building that is under construction, it is unfinished to show the structural lumber. I've included 2 versions of the long wall, one with just studs and one with some siding installed. If you print an additional ceiling joist unit, cut the perimeter border off and this will give you a nice stack of unused lumber. I exclusively print with PLA and have found that ordinary clear lacquer thinner (Nail polish remover) is a wonderful glue. Make a small test for yourself of two printed pieces of scrap PLA and give it a try. Let sit for 20 seconds and then try to break it apart. It leaves no residue and is applied with a small brush. I've been using lacquer thinner as a glue on stryene and PLA for years. No sloppy or messy glue to show when finished. If you would like me to design a custom model for you contact me at: garylavart@yahoo.com. It is totally free but I will post it on Thingiverse for others to print and enjoy.
