Building Printer Concept Model
thingiverse
This is a groundbreaking concept that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible. It's not just about building something new, it's about revolutionizing the way we construct buildings altogether. Printed Building Concept: Imagine being able to print plastic on a massive scale, reducing labor costs in areas that typically require specialized skills. Features like electrical conduits, boxes, and fixtures could be printed with ease, making plumbing and painting a thing of the past. Gutters, insulation cavities, stairs, railings, counters, sinks, and door/window framing could also be printed with precision. The potential for architectural designs is limitless, and this concept enables builders to create structures that were previously unimaginable. The printed plastic serves as a form that can be filled with concrete for added strength, making it an ideal solution for building construction. Printed Building Concept -- Wall Section Models: These STL files are just the beginning of something revolutionary. They showcase the primary features and advantages of the printed building concept in stunning detail. From plastic print-in-place forms to printed piping, electrical conduit, boxes, and fixtures, this model has it all. Labor-free finished interior and exterior surfaces, no siding, no painting - it's a builder's dream come true. The design flexibility is unparalleled, with conventional style (round pipes) and new style (rectangular pipe/conduit) options available. Other Building Printer Concept Models: This concept has two competing requirements: printing plastic in large volumes and achieving fine features like plumbing and conduit. Two "sketches" - rough ideas - have been modeled to accomplish this feat. A very large delta combined with a small Cartesian printer is used to achieve the necessary resolution and high nozzle movement speed. Partially printed (PLA, 0.2mm layers, 15% infill), but not a priority for me to finish printing/building at this time... WIP. Building Printer Concept Model - Parallel Print Bots: This approach uses distributed print bots to parallel the printing effort, with 12 bots animated and 24 hot ends. The bots are essentially scissor lifts with two arms to guide hot ends. Modeled at roughly 1/80 scale, Ver B of STLs have small improvements, but haven't been printed. Printed Building Concept Model: Just a house in vertical sections to facilitate a rough simulation.
