Buildings Kitbash is an ideal solution for kitbashing, concept design, set dressing and more. A comprehensive collection of 17 modern buildings and 1 radio tower provides endless possibilities. The range extends from residential condominiums to commercial buildings and skyscrapers. To minimize polycounts, glasses are mostly unified objects. As a result, windows are not individually separated. Clean and efficient topology is employed, with quad-based modeling and the judicious use of N-gons. Not intended for subdivision, this model is built to real-world scale, with 1 unit equaling 1 meter. Scene objects are organized by groups, making it easy to find what you need. Each building consists of two separate objects: Main Body and Glasses. Both glasses and main bodies are color-coded for quick selection, in addition to their proper names. Two basic materials are assigned in the Max-Vray scene: one for the main body and another for the glasses. Easily replicable in any software or rendering engine, this model is a breeze to work with. A UV map allows you to apply tileable textures, which can be easily done on all buildings. Currently, there are no texture assignments. The scene is lit using an HDRI map, included with the download files. Each floor and level is modeled to ensure correct behavior of shadows and reflections behind glass objects. If needed, polycount can be greatly reduced by deleting roof details. Roof details are separate elements that can be selected and detached individually, making it easy to assign unique textures and materials. FBX and OBJ formats are included for seamless import into any 3D package. 'Edges Tex' is used in the Vray main body material, resulting in slightly rounded edges and corners without extra polygons. However, this effect is subtle and may not be noticeable if using a different rendering engine that doesn't support rounded edges or corners in its settings.
