Builders Analog Laser Large Droid Range Optical Indicator Device

Think about how much time we could save if we had the outside diameter of the dome or sphere, or how big those orange circle panels are, Radar Eye surround outside diameter, or any close measurement when we saw BB8 at CVI? I've been looking for ways to get those measurements directly from droids, as well as other relatively small features on BB8 without touching it from up to a minimum of 100m away. It also has to be affordable (doesn't cost $3200US) so a bunch of us could have it stashed in our kits, and very simple to use for the next time BB8 is out in public. Introducing the Builders Analog Laser Large Droid Range Optical Indicator Device, aka B.A.L.L. D.R.O.I.D. It has 5 parts and costs $32 US. 1 x 60cm Johnson aluminum level (or larger) ($10 at Home Depot) 2 x HOT Tactical Lasers with rail mount, batteries & laser 2 axis adjustment hex keys ($11 each on Amazon) 1 x BALL DROID END - 3D Printed - Attach with VHB 1 x BALL DROID SLIDE - 3D Printed It's easy to align and set up. Don't think of this as a $3200 laser caliper. So the next time a droid, that we need measurements from, shows up in public, you can take the tool out of your pack, point, 2 clicks... slide, read the measurement & report back. Also testing a variation that displays 3 laser dots @ 0, 2 & 5 cm, and attaches to a digital camera hot shoe. Enjoy and let me know if you find this useful.
