Build Your Own - Phone Holder
myminifactory
I was searching for something to prop up my phone while lounging in bed since I don't have a nightstand. That's when the idea struck me - design joints and arms that could serve multiple purposes. This phone holder is a fun project because it allows you to get creative with how you build it, like solving a puzzle. However, some people may find a downside to this design: it requires screwing into a table or wood frame for maximum stability unless you can come up with an alternative way to secure it firmly without using screws and creating holes. From my own experience, two length arms work best and provide excellent stability. When you add a third arm, the entire thing becomes less stable and more prone to wobbling, all depending on the force exerted by the arm and how well-balanced it is. To build the arm, you'll need some super glue to hold small parts together - one at the base and another at the phone holder. You'll also require a rubber band for the phone holder, and I recommend adding more rubber bands to the fingers of the holder for better grip. Everything else is up to your imagination and resourcefulness. The pictures show some possible configurations you can try, but feel free to experiment and come up with your own unique designs.
