To enhance my printer's performance, I upgraded to Bottlework's Heated build plate from bctechnologicalsolutions.com/hbp/index.html. However, there was some extra play which inspired me to create a taller spacer similar to thingiverse.com designs (129663). This would provide better support than a shim on a nut and washer. The spacing piece has 50% infill, but it might not greatly affect the overall outcome.
