Watch here: https://youtu.be/8d4hU5r6eVW Today's #3DPrintmas model brings Bugdroid to the party as our special guest. Bugdroid is the iconic mascot for the Android operating system, a recognizable and fun shape that's pretty simple yet effective. I created this design in Fusion 360 by taking an SVG file of his outline, cutting it in half, and revolving the body around the center axis to give it a cylindrical shape that's instantly recognizable. My wife then took over, using a sponge with acrylic paints to cover the entire body in green. She added black eyes with a paintbrush, and also painted black around the inside of the head and body to create a darker look within. Print Settings: Printer: Robo3D R1 Filament: Hatchbox PLA Layer Height: 0.3mm Infill: 20% Supports: No supports were used for the body and head, but yes for the arms to ensure they stay in place during printing.
