Bug-A-Salt Sling Holder

Bug-A-Salt Sling Holder

thingiverse

This is a full-fledged bracket sling for the Bug-A-Salt 2.0 gun. It's being used to hang it off the side of my fridge, as shown in the last picture. The other two loaded pictures show the two placements: centered and locked. Centered placement is balanced but doesn't hold the gun as well, while locked placement is off-center but holds the gun tight. The bracket does not hang balanced. This design is fully parameterized, with dimensions that seem to work really well. It fits on an Ender 3 (220mmx220m) when rotated 45 degrees on the bed. If your bed is smaller, you can adjust the br_space variable but will have less stability holding the gun. The design consists of two pieces: the holder and the arm. The arm allows a strong magnet to hold the bracket tightly to the top of the fridge. Alternatively, tape on a clean surface would also work well. The two pieces mate with a joint, so if you need different mounting options, feel free to design a different arm. You'll need 80mm between wall and fridge if you hang it like I did. Alternatively, you could just hang it off a screw without printing the arm at all. Or use two screws for an unbalanced hanging option.
