Buffer thingiverse

Buffer

thingiverse dagnall53 3323169 Free

This is a remix of Daniel's buffers. I redesigned them so that they print "sideways" to take advantage of the better strength of prints in the X-Y direction. A couple of my Daniel prints had snapped when hit hard by trains or people..

Unfortunately this means that all Daniels's nice rivets had to go, so I went for a different look.

I also made the bottom of the "feet" a little smaller so that they would slide easier up LGB/PEKO track. - But this means that trains can also push them, so I have added a clip on "Buffer Lock" that clips to the track firmly and prevents the buffer from moving past a track beam.

The parts should be arranged as shown for printing to take advantage of the better X-Y directional printed strength. The parts include special extensions to support the "upper" part of the track clips on the sides, so the prints should be printed without supports. The small pillars and extension bits can be easily cut off after printing.

I printed these ones in ASA.
