Buffer Wheel Centering Bearing
thingiverse
I purchased some cheap polishing wheels from my local “Wharf Carriage”. They came as advertised, 6" and for a ½" or ¾" arbor (two sets each of size specific plates). Not sure how you're supposed to match them up but just NO. The wheels were WAY off balance and no matter the adjustment of those mount plates, it was always off center. A couple of minutes in Tinkercad, a few minutes on the printer and we have this. A ½" arbor centering bearing for those cheap 6" polishing wheels. Works like a charm!! Oh, it still vibrates some because the wheels themselves are not balanced but it was night and day difference. No messing around, no guessing, boom, done! The width may be slightly too wide for some, on those I just needed to turn on plate the other way. If you like this, consider a cup of coffee!
