Buffed n Braced Einsy Door remixed for M5 T-nuts and screws, and MMU2S
thingiverse
This is a remix of [plaidbear's reinforced braced Einsy door mod](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3476970) to secure the Z axis to the Y axis, utilizing the stock Einsy base and preventing wiggling of the Z axis. The original design employs M3 screws with printed nuts, necessitating removal of the rear frame of the printer. This remix modifies the brace holes to accommodate standard M5 drop-in T-nuts with M5 screws (10 or 12 mm), allowing you to avoid removing the rear frame. Update (April 2020): This remix now includes a small cutout at the top for MMU2S cable compatibility, if you have an MMU2S. If not, the cutout is irrelevant and won't affect anything. To complete this project, you'll need: * 2 M5 10mm screws (12mm alternatives are also suitable) * 2 M5 drop-in T-nuts (alternatively, print [these](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3998406) to use with standard M5 nuts; avoid plastic threads if possible) * Re-usable threadlocker; I recommend using [Vibra-TITE 213 VC-3 Threadmate Threadlocker](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0088YEGXM) for effective T-nut control The photo shows an early remix version with M5 holes centered on the original holes, which put them too close together for the T-nuts to rotate past one another. This remix STL has adjusted hole spacing. If the T-nuts overlap, you can offset them by screwing one in fully and the other a few turns before inserting into the 3030 aluminum slot.
