Budget plywood wheel hubs
thingiverse
We create our cable drums using two plywood disks and a cardboard tube sandwiched between them. When fully unwound, these drums become useless. By attaching one drum on each side through the plywood layers, you can easily craft large-diameter budget wheels that are perfect for carts. Specifically designed for an 8mm axle, it's crucial to remember that this setup requires clearance to avoid damaging sensitive materials. To ensure smooth printing, use a nozzle setting of at least 1.35mm diameter; adjusting to half or one-third of that width is also feasible, but be sure to inspect the slicer output carefully to prevent voids from forming.
