CNC-Axis: A Highly Customizable Design for Any Size. With a moving distance of approximately 13 cm, the CNC-Axis is constructed from durable POM materials, making it an affordable solution with a price tag of around €50-60. Bill of Materials: * Base: Choose between POM-plastic or aluminum (15mm thickness) to provide a sturdy foundation. * Threaded Rod: Select a 12mm or thicker rod for maximum stability. * Spindle-Nut: Either purchase one or 3D-print the attached design, which works perfectly with PLA materials. * Screws: Require approximately 20x M6 screws for assembly. * Bearings: Use four Teflon-coated press-fit bearings with inner and outer diameters of 14mm and 16mm respectively. Optional Components: * NEMA23 Stepper Motor: A high-performance motor that enhances the CNC-Axis's capabilities. * Coupling Nut: Optional between stepper and threaded rod, either 3D-print or use a spider-coupling for added flexibility. * Euro-Coupling: Use an aluminum Euro-coupling with a 43mm center-hole for optimal performance. Additional Resources: * Shaft coupler designed by David Bunch can be found at Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:724999). * Tested and validated 3D-printed Spindle-Nut design available on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:471543).
