Bowie shouted loudly at Mumbo as he shook her shoulders. "Wake up!" she exclaimed, but Mumbo just groaned and rubbed her eyes. She wasn't ready to wake up yet. Mumbo and Bowie had spent all night decorating their homemade aircraft, which they were going to ride in the famous Buddyland Aircraft race. "Mumbo, we're competing today!" Bowie yelled again, trying to get her out of bed. Mumbo shot out from under the covers, pulled on her signature sweater, and clipped on her bow. They rushed out the door to their garage, where the aircraft was waiting. Mumbo and Bowie had planned for days to make sure they placed in the competition. Their whole neighborhood was betting on their win. "Hurry up!" Squiddy shouted at Eelzer as he helped him repair the broken wing. It was early in the morning, but Squiddy had heard a loud crash outside and saw that the wing of their aircraft was completely destroyed! Their spaceship looked sleek with its blue, white, and red color scheme. Squiddy ran to get Eelzer, and together they were working hard to fix it. The Miniature Marine Machine Team was determined to win. As both teams worked frantically to finish their aircraft, the Buddyland town was buzzing with excitement. Bowie's mom had made a homemade sign that read "Go Mumbow!" One monster in red, white, and blue was eating ice cream while watching the action. All of the monsters of Buddy land loved to collect around the racetrack to watch the games. "Three, two, one, go!" The crowd cheered as Mumbow and Marine Machine sped towards the finish line!
