Buddha IV. Optical Illusion Mould Stand

thingiverse

The figure in question is not a mold for reproducing a Buddha image; it's the actual Buddha itself. May the holder be imbued with the master's unalterable blessings :) It appears that this figure can be seen as an entity existing within a hidden dimension, where everything visible has meaning and serves as a reflection of three-dimensional (or even four-dimensional) space with movement. Upon initial inspection, the figure resembles the Buddha in a frontal view; however, upon closer examination, it becomes clear that the true creation is a mold. The real essence of the Buddha resides within one's heart. A peculiar phenomenon is observed: The figure seems to be sitting on the opposite side from where you're standing, yet this appearance is an illusion. Upon printing or viewing from different angles, the apparent orientation remains the same. For instance, when viewed from beneath, it appears as though the Buddha sits underneath; viewed from above, he appears to be seated upon a pedestal; and viewed from afar, his position seems unchanged.
