Buddha Head on the Farm as Lithophane

<p>It helps to print it with really fine resolution.</p><p>The lithophane was created assuming 0.1 mm layer height and 0,4mm line width. There's 0,5 mm base plane and the total height is like 3mm.</p><p>Whats interesting: Seeing the lithophane against the light with my naked eye the resolution appears much finer than what that pic shows. That's 'cause the cam is very close to the object so that I get it all filling the screen. But my eye is way more distant, and: the dithering magic that happens in the neocortex.</p><p>The vertical stripes on the buddha you see are in part the structure of the wood and on top of that: the colors running down after a holi ceremony.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Category: 2D Art</p>
